Klimt's Beethover Frieze Masterpiece, Remembering Albert Maysles

A Masterpiece of Beethoven Mural by Klimt was rejected by Austria to return to the Eric Lederer's heirs. The Austrian Judge in charge of Art Restitutions is Clemens Jabloner, who appears in SHADOWS. In SHADOWS he said he was not concerned so much with "the Rothschilds and their paintings", but with the losses of the average man who lost his home, business, family, etc.

Actually the heirs received $750,000 in a deal for the paintg, but on retrospect it was worth double at that time, end of WW II, when many places wouldn't touch Austrian or German Expressionism Art.

Actually in retrospect it is such a masterpiece, it is invaluable!

Jabloner himself is Jewish.

In memoriam, Albert Maysles, passed on March 7th. He was one of our first and strongest supporters for "Shadows From My Past".
