Austrian Consul General Georg Heindl attended a screening of SHADOWS FROM MY PAST at the Actors Temple. I am sitting between Consul Heindl ad Rabbi Jill Hausman.
The audience was in full attendance and asked questions, which he kindly answered.
Some people did not realize Vienna was a divided city, like Berlin after WW II.
We were at Actors Temple with the ghosts of Jack Benny, Sophie Tucker, Shelly Winters, Joe E. Lewis, etc, etc, etc. This is a Landmark Building which is also a theatre today.
Consul Heindl said that Austria accepted 90,000 Bosnians when they had a problem. Now Austria is accepting migrants from Syria. Maybe they did learn something from SHADOWS!
